BRAND PARTNERSHIPS / KOLKATA

Where your products
meet their
next project.

Showcase your collection in an environment designed to connect material discovery with real design decisions.

MORE THAN A DISPLAY

A place for products.
A reason to connect.

Kayansh Design Lab is developing a design studio, material library and community destination in Kolkata. The aim is to bring brand expertise closer to the people choosing and using products.

A visitor might arrive with a floor plan, a material question or an idea for a project. Physical samples, informed discussion and an introduction to the right specialist can turn discovery into a more considered decision.

The centre, brand mix and partnership arrangements are in development. We are welcoming expressions of interest.

Understand the Experience Center

01 / THE BRAND OPPORTUNITY

From a collection
to a conversation.

01

A physical place to be understood

Planned displays and samples place a collection within a design conversation. Visitors can see texture, scale, finishes and combinations in context.

02

Discovery by design professionals

Architects and designers can explore products while developing palettes and project ideas. Relevant enquiries can lead to introductions to your team.

03

Product education

Material Clinics, demonstrations and specialist discussions help explain applications, installation, care and limitations alongside the visual story.

04

Consideration for real projects

KDL can connect a relevant project enquiry with the right brand contact. Suitability, commercial terms and the final purchase remain project-specific decisions.

05

A story beyond the sample

Agreed editorial features, collection introductions and event content can share the thinking, craft and capabilities behind a product.

06

An ongoing relationship

Keep samples and technical information current, exchange feedback and review opportunities for future sessions and collaborations.

02 / WHO YOU CAN CONNECT WITH

Three perspectives.
One design conversation.

Architects & designers

Explore samples, discuss details, compare combinations and identify products relevant to an evolving brief.

End users & project clients

Understand how a product looks, feels and fits a space, with questions about use, maintenance and long-term care.

Makers & collaborators

Exchange knowledge, investigate customisation and find shared interests across design and production.

CONTINUITY THROUGH COMMUNITY

Introduce.
Demonstrate.
Stay in conversation.

Our proposed monthly Material Clinic gives a brand space to explain its collection, handle samples with visitors, discuss uses and limitations, demonstrate where suitable and answer questions.

Designer Breakfasts, maker sessions and other planned programmes create additional opportunities to learn and meet. Topics, participants and dates are agreed before an event is announced.

03 / POTENTIAL PARTNERSHIP FORMATS

A format shaped
around the fit.

These are starting points for discussion. Scope, responsibilities and commercial terms are confirmed in an individual proposal.

01

Founding Anchor Partner

For a brand interested in discussing a substantial role in the proposed centre: a considered display, ongoing education and a longer-term relationship.

02

Design Partner

For a collection that would benefit from curated representation, design conversations and agreed product sessions.

03

Material Library Partner

For a focused sample presence supported by accurate product information and a clear route to the brand’s technical and commercial team.

04

Community / Event Partner

For a brand or maker interested in contributing expertise, a demonstration or support for an agreed community programme.

05

KDL × Brand Custom Collection

For an exploratory collaboration around a product, finish or collection informed by design practice, subject to a separate development agreement.

WHAT A BRAND MAY CONTRIBUTE

Product knowledge.
Practical support.

Samples and display products, installation guidance or support, current technical literature, team training, demonstrations, product updates and agreed event contributions.

Each format can be shaped around a working installation, a curated sample presence or a session-led introduction. We discuss the most useful way for your team to contribute knowledge.

WHAT KDL MAY CONTRIBUTE

Curation.
Connection.

Material curation and display design, agreed storytelling, community programming, relevant introductions, enquiry coordination and reporting within the agreed partnership scope.

For end users, this means greater confidence in comparing options, a clearer understanding of applications and access to the people who can answer product questions. It does not replace brand confirmation of technical suitability.

04 / FROM INTEREST TO INTRODUCTION

A clear path
to working together.

01

Start the conversation

Share your category, collection, location, capabilities and what you hope to achieve.

02

Review the fit

We discuss product relevance, display possibilities, technical support and the needs of the design community.

03

Develop a proposal

Outline the format, display or sample scope, programme involvement, duration and commercial terms for review.

04

Agree responsibilities

Confirm approvals, installation, sample upkeep, technical information, enquiries, content permissions and review points.

05

Onboard the collection

Prepare approved samples, displays, product information and the appropriate brand contacts.

06

Introduce the brand

Plan a suitable introduction, product session or community touchpoint once arrangements are confirmed.

07

Continue and review

Keep information current, follow up relevant conversations and review the relationship against the agreed scope.

05 / QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Before we
begin.

Are brands already finalised?

No. The centre and its brand mix are being developed. Categories describe intended areas of curation; they do not imply a confirmed brand, available stock or an operating display.

Can a smaller or emerging brand approach KDL?

Yes. Share the collection, its strengths and the support you can offer. The conversation starts with fit and relevance rather than a published size threshold.

What does a partnership cost?

There is no published standard package or fee at this stage. Display scope, programme involvement, duration and responsibilities will be set out in a proposal before any commitment.

Do you guarantee leads, sales or exclusivity?

No. KDL creates opportunities for discovery, learning and relevant introductions. Project selection, enquiries and purchases depend on individual needs. Any category or commercial arrangement must be expressly agreed.

Who handles technical advice and fulfilment?

The proposal will identify responsibilities. Product-specific technical confirmation, quotations, warranties, installation and fulfilment must be agreed with the brand and the project team.

How are project enquiries shared?

We discuss a relevant introduction with the person making the enquiry. Contact details are shared for that purpose with their permission, rather than distributed as an unrestricted list.

Can we run a product introduction or demonstration?

Yes, this is a planned part of the programme. The topic, format, audience, equipment, safety, timing and any participation terms are agreed before a session is announced.
